Wood, shape, and finish
Turned from a solid section of salvaged local black walnut, this vase was hollowed with precision to create thin, balanced walls while maintaining the structural strength needed for an 11-inch vertical form.
The piece is finished with penetrating oil and buffed wax to create a soft, tactile sheen that highlights the natural grain contrast without adding a plastic or glossy coating.
