Shipping Policy

Processing Time

Each piece from Turning Bytes is handcrafted and finished individually. For in-stock items, orders are processed within 1–3 business days. For custom or commissioned pieces, timelines are discussed and agreed upon during the commission process.

Shipping Methods

All orders ship via USPS Priority Mail with tracking and insurance included. You will receive a tracking number by email once your order ships.

Delivery estimates begin from the ship date, not the order date.

Packaging

Every piece is carefully wrapped and packed with protective materials to ensure it arrives safely. I take great care in packaging because I know how much the piece means to you — and to me.

If you’re local to Northeast Ohio, local pickup may be available. Contact me before ordering to arrange details.


Return Policy

Eligibility

I want you to love your Turning Bytes piece. If you’re not satisfied with an in-stock item, you may return it within 14 days of delivery for a full refund of the purchase price.

To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be in its original, unused condition
  • The item must be returned in all original packaging
  • You must contact me to initiate the return before shipping the item back

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return:

  • Custom or commissioned pieces — These are made to your specifications and cannot be resold.
  • Items marked as “seconds” or sold at a discount due to minor imperfections, unless the imperfection was not disclosed.
  • Gift cards

How to Initiate a Return

  1. Contact me at within 14 days of delivery
  2. Include your order number and the reason for the return
  3. I’ll provide the return shipping address and any specific instructions
  4. Ship the item back within 7 days of receiving return instructions

Return Shipping

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. I recommend using a trackable shipping method and purchasing shipping insurance — I cannot guarantee refunds for items lost or damaged during return transit.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, I’ll notify you by email. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 5–7 business days. Please note that your bank or credit card company may take additional time to post the refund.

Damaged or Defective Items

If your piece arrives damaged, please contact me within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage and packaging. I’ll work with you to make it right — whether that’s a replacement, repair, or full refund.
